Looking good as always. What kind of woods did you use in this one? Are you placing the handle dead center and how long is it?

Roy from Pa

Thanks Bue.

This one is Osage belly, yew core, backed with boo.

Actually I messed up on this one.

I normally make symmetrical bows but decided to try an asymmetrical bow.

I should have placed this 12" riser centered on the 4" grip area, but had a brain fart and placed the riser centered on the bow like I always do.

That's why the riser is longer on the top.

I almost quit working on it, but figured what the heck may as well finish it.

Might send it to KennyM for Xmas:)

I'm scratching my head. First pics from PB were gone and now they are back. It is okay by me.

Roy from Pa

Maybe it's the scotch ya put in the morning coffee?

LOL

That is worn off by now, half past three in the afternoon over here. Perhaps I should top it off again,

Nice Bue, glue lines look good.  I'm a little surprised at how good they look with those spring clamps.  I haven't had good luck when I used to use them on tri lams.  Just not enough clamping force.  But you do have more than I had, and you were just gluing a belly.  What's Lignostone btw?

Nice Roy.  I think with your riser length you have room to play with...probably never notice that it's off now that's it's tillered.

Go for it, Bue:)

Thanks, Mr.Ben...

Actually it kinda grew on me.

Different, but I won't do it that way again...

Your bow looks sweet too.

Buemaker

Lignostone is Beech wood that is resin impregnated and heat compressed with large pressure. It has twice the weight of normal Beech. When they made wood skies it was used on the edges it had and have other uses too. The ones I have is solid boards and is very strong in both tension and compression. The ones I have is 50 years old. They make it today, but in thin veneers. Made by a German firm named Rochling.

A lot of good looking natural bows being posted here lately great jobs guys
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

Roy from Pa

Got this one pulled to 24 inches today.

It's 43# @ 24", going to 29 inches, 1/8th negative tiller.

Osage belly, yew core, backed with boo.

Riser is Osage and the thin paduka lam is from Ole Bue..

I would but I got no more room...  :cheesy:   If I make a new form I don't even know where I would put it...

If I do I think I will either make a Hybrid with a good amount of curve at the tips or a Pigmy...

Pretty rad profile there Morv...  How's she shoot??
