Well, I finally put a basic hot box together! It's based off of Sam Harper's design on his site. So far, I've tested it up to 150° F, which should be sufficient for making some glass bows or trilams using Smooth On. Plus, there's enough room where I put it for me to "upgrade" in the future by building a plywood shell to slip the foam box into!

Split and ground a couple dozen wild turkey flu flus. I think I may try dyeing them some bright color before I glue them up. Gonna be used mostly for bunny hunting in snow.

Brad, if you think you'll hunt deer with em, don't go orange. The arrow disappears against deer color. Tried that last year!!

These will be strictly for small game. My deer arrows always get two solid white and one of whatever other color I have floating around.

Those are nice Brad , how do the Flu Flus fly with bunny arrows ,I never used them ? Just used regular fletch & judos but still manage to lose arrows some times !

Don't know, but I'm fixing to find out.  :biglaugh:
I haven't shot flu flu since I was a kid.

Truth is....This is my first time making fletching. I don't have a chopper or burner, so flu flu it is. I figure a big pile of fletch will slow the arrows and make them easier to find.

Cut up some American Striped Ebony for riser wood
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Bvas

Made up some "patriot missles".
Look out bunnies and squirrels.

Didn't take a pic, but the first four arrows at about 16yds were probably the tightest group I've ever shot with a trad bow.

But man... do they make some noise getting to the target.
