Yeah me too Roy.  That's just the 1st stage of the glue up if you were wondering, just the belly and core.  Next step is splice and apply deflex through the handle then add more reflex when the bamboo backing is glued on.

Finally got around to modifying my 12" sander this weekend...  I always had a problem with the table not being truly flat and also moving on me...  Very frustrating and a waste of time checking the pieces for exact 90*, tapping on the table to adjust it and having less than satisfactory results....  :banghead:

Not No MO..!!!!  I built a plywood frame, sat the whole sander in it, screwed it all down to the work top and screwed a 1 1/4" thick piece of granite to the frame...  A couple of shims with some aluminum tape and I got a perfect 90* angle all the way across the sanding table...  Not to mention that I extended the left side of the table a good 5" or so...  Now I have a lot more room on the working side of the table...

I am One Happy Camper...     :shaka:  :goldtooth:  :shaka:

That is a makeshift 15" riser block sitting on the table to test for squareness...  It shows how much room I have on that side of the table for sanding risers and such...

It seems I have had to modify or tweak everyone of my major tools to get them to be accurate...

Excellent mod Rich!

I started tuning some 400 spine carbons to the forward handle longbow and the 64" mod longbow. Think I can make em shoot same arrow with 200 on front! :bigsmyl:  That's only gonna be about 550 grain total but I think it might go thru a deer..... :archer2:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Very nice mod Rich , Kenny Im shooting 550 grain aluminums this year I think you will be suprised how they penetrate same weight as 2 ,45s ,230 grain and a 9 mm  together at high 180s goes deep in the back stop!
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

It is nice to be on a site that people understand the value of a heavy/heavier arrow.

Hi Gary,

I kind of wanted 600 but will take 550 on a 50# bow.

I have shot as much as 600 on a 47 and it drives them deep....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Alot of the  bow world has forgotten the need for momentum/energy over speed.

Forwardhandle

I have been waiting for some 2219 aliminum shafts to get here maybe a better spine for my draw they should put me at 600 grain for this years hunting arrows , the thing I like about heavy arrows in addendum to peneteration is they shoot quiet some of my bows there is no need for silencers on when shooting them.

Be careful here, momentum and energy are vastly different things, and both are connected to speed-- momentum proportionally, which incidentally makes it better suited for most traditional archers, and kinetic energy in a square, meaning more value is placed on speed than in mass. Potential energy is just a function of the bow design, as well as mechanical efficiency.

Waiting on my order from Kenny to get started on TG swap bow #2 so I'm entertaining myself by putting these sage limbs on a Black Bear riser.
