Lookin good Ritchie!

I glued up a bocote riser /veneer with red elm core blank to go to the UK

And glued another riser for my swap bow. My sander ate the first one.

Weeellll , I told it to by mistake.   :o

Oh well , I like this one better anyway, changed some stuff.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I finally got tired of fighting with the drum sander I had and ordered a new one. I picked it up last night so I spent the day making lams and veneers for my swap bow.

Thanks Kenny for all the advice and letting me loiter in your shop watching you make my last set of lams. Your sleds worked great and I picked up a few good tips and shortcuts from you that saved me a bunch of time. Some of them you probably don't even know you shared with me.

Skeater who?

Thanks Shredd  a little here and there time wise is all I have so no hurry but would like to have it built over the next couple of months with all the help I get here !

Good deal Lonnie! Glad to help!

Just ordered some Spectraply . So will be offering riser blocks and angle cut veneers soon.

I think I gave away my jig for angle cut but can build one in a few minutes when the Spectra arrives.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Yellowwood, looks like you got it figured out.

The bow that I wanted to come in at 55 came in at 72   :scared:

New target is 60#.  I'm going to narrow it down and it should be ok once the limbs are finished.

Welll, I've had some interest in forward handle longbows, soooo I dragged the danged form out, redesigned the whole bow and will lay one up on it. Heck, maybe it will be my swap bow.......
Stay sharp, Kenny.

That was when I got 108 staves from one osage tree.  I usually do things in big batches.  Last time I worked on arrows I made over 30.

I discovered and made mistakes.

Discovered that my 60# RD is way over weight due to a mistake in stack calculation.

Realized that I cut the shelf wrong on an ASL and made it into a lefty.
