This weekend, had a bit of time so I finished up a project I started last winter. Had it to brace and disliked it enough I put it up on a shelf to ponder on. Still not exactly what I was after, but hey, maybe this type of bow just ain't my style...

      :D

Even Roy can handle this one it came in at 18.6..........  oz

Barely more'n a PBR beer!

It pulls 47# @ 28"  and is 58" ntn.Bubinga riser, amb boo core and curly hickory veneers from the scrap barrel.... The string is a bit short so I need to build another before turkey season ,shoots nice, maybe I'll turkey hunt with it, it matches my ghillie pretty well...

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

I have soooo many questions, I'm not sure where to start.

But first....what does it look like without a string?
Second, is the bubinga on the tips on top of the glass? As a tip wedge??

Very neat, very different design!!!
I'll give it a

First, I forgot one.....

2nd, yes it is a .050 to 0 in 10" wedge I put on after because the tips weren't doing what I wanted.

Will it stay? Don't know, but will ....

The form needs redone with about 2.5" more reflex , it is about .5" wrong side of neutral...

Makes it shoot very nice, but I hate the look of it!!

It does have a good string angle for a 58"

I like it a lot.

The strung profile reminds me of the ancient Egyptian Angular Bows, but with a modernized grip.  Call it Ramses.

Pretty bow, nice work.

Looking good!  The figure on that hickory is pretty nice.

How will the bubinga look as it gets more sun exposure?  To me, bubinga looks pretty similar to black cherry, so if it ages like cherry as well, that riser section will have a nice contrast to the hickory.
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

I really  like the look . How does it compare to your new 62/64 inch in speed , shoot ability, etc.?

kennym

Thanks guys!

It shots nice, it is very narrow at grip, that "may" help with torque. Seems quick, haven't had time to chrono it yet....
