Typically snake skin backing is associated with self bows. But lately I have been backing some glass bows with snake skins and I love the look. They seem to hold up nicely and are pretty easy to apply. How do you feel about seeing snake skins on a glass bow? BTW - this is Western Rattlesnake that tried to put the hurt on me and suffered for it!

i think they look great! I have backed a few bows but unfortunately had to use 'faux' snakeskin as it could cost up to $20,000 fine for using the real stuff over here as it illegal, even road kill.Blanket ban on using them. Some of the deadliest snakes on the planet but one can't touch them!![legally] Again, nice work with those!

hey Soy! Long time no hear! funny thing is doesn't seem to bother 'them' if it is imported, although i'm not going to test that out! Your beautiful 'snake' bow has pride of place along with 2 others I received in TG bow swaps. don't hardly use it though as I was copping too much flack from guys either envious or wondering how come using some one else's bow if you make them yourself.Have to try and source you a little aussie timbers soon, along with fujimo. Owe you both!

Just Titebond 3 on both the roughed up back of the bow and on the skin. Then 6 coats of sealer once the skins cured to the bow.
