The one is a bamboo back, thin layer of maple, and an osage core from a 40 year old board, with the handle made up of hickory and walnut. The other is a bamboo back, a thin layer of maple, on osage core, and a carbonized bamboo belly, with a handle made up of maple, walnut, and osage.

Both are mid tiller at the moment.

It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Great looking bows, I really like the way your bamboo runs up the fades on the belly. I've had trouble with this, do you make your fades taper long enough so bamboo doesn't have to bend too much or do you prebend bamboo or do something else. Thanks for any help in this area.

Yea, it's a very gradual curve. Glass lam guys tend to often use an abrupt curve in the fades but that doesn't translate well to all natural materials.
