New bow

Got out to shoot the new bow this morning.

Happy with it. I used an old beater of a string and the serving unravelled. Only shot 3 dozen, but they flew well.

Will be making a new string for it ASAP.

Was out alone, so no full draw photo.

Yes nicely done    That's a great design.
Maybe on your next one round the limb edges over and make the fades 2 inches so that they blend from working limb to handle a bit nicer. It's a good idea to round the limb edges over to the radius of a pea - this will help stop splinters raising.

It's Maple - tip overlays are shedua.

Shoots really well, based on about 40 arrows. Quiet and no hand shock.

Was 54# @ 28"

Likely lose a couple pounds after a couple of hundred - we'll see

Mike - my next one is already designed, in my head, at least.

I have a terrible tendency to run with my own ideas.

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but I think you learn more from your failures than your successes.

Wish me luck.

I may even document the next one and try to overcome the curse of the camera - the only two bows I've documented in photos are the only two that broke.
