What grit do you guys like to use to rough up the nocks for phenolic overlays?

I used 100 and smooth on and was sanding them up tonight and they popped off    the string popped off at brace  :scared:hopefully everything is ok... But now I need to glue new ones on and not sure where I went wrong

same as Kenny with the 60 grit. but I use "Super Glue" most of the time..The brand I use is Gorilla Glue "Impact Tough" with the blue top. Smooth on seems to be easier to sand so a lot of guys prefer to use it. Rough up both surfaces with the 60 grit and you should be fine..

Crooked Stic

Right out on the edge where your overlay will fade into the limb glass I use 120 grit on the glass there. I use 40 grit to ruff up the rest. Used to a hacksaw blade but I don't think it needs to be that ruffed up.
