64" TtT
42# @ 29"
1 1/2" wide tapering to 1/2" nocks
Bamboo from Carson (.125")
Maple core (.125")
Ipe belly (.250")
Padauk power lam, 18" long (.200"-.000)
Maple riser with Padauk accents
Buffalo horn tips
Tru oil finish with paste wax
Ipe and maple laminates were spliced in the handle

This was my first attempt at a laminate bow.  I know the tiller isn't perfect, but this was also my first time using a R/D profile, which was a little tricky. I have a sister to this one ready to tiller, so any tiller critiques are welcome.

Pretty good. Bottom limb looks really good. Comparison wise the top limb may be a little weak mid limb.

Good looking bow.

Nice work! Tiller looks good, I'd just put a leather grip and strike plate on it and shoot Tha heck out of it!

Really like the wood combinations.  Nice
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Thank you guys, I agree with macbow, the lower limb looks better than the upper.

It shoots really well actually, probably the fastest bow I have built to date.

Jan Westphal

Did you taper the maple and ipe before glue up? Or leave it parallel and tiller afterwards?

LittleBen

Bottom limb is a bit better than the top but overall great job.

Even the tiller On the top limb is pretty close. I doubt you'll have any problem with the mid limb being just slightly weaker.

Especially at that draw weight and limb width, that bow should last a very long time.

Aaron H

Jan, both laminates were parallel at glue up, and I tillered afterwards.

Thank you guys, I hope it lasts a very long time, it was a gift to my brother in law.

Great job - I am sure he was happy to receive that beauty.
