Yup. He has 60 acres loaded with Osage, so he cuts me Osage wood. The bow in the picture came from an Osage tree on his property. I told him I want that Osage tree in the back ground next. LOL

Zradix

should be a bow or two in there...lol
Very cool

That is awesome Roy! I still want to get my hands on one of your fine bows. Hopefully someday!

Yep, that's a nice buck, a nice bow, and Kenny is a good guy.

So far today I steamed, straightened and reflexed a pair of osage billets, stripped down 6 turkey wings for wing bone calls and feathers for arrows, and made some osage and hophornbeam handle blocks from 'scrap' cutoffs and such. Gonna clean the gutters of leaves and then head back into the shop.

passion for knowledge

Found a local spot where I can sign up to use a fully kitted out wood workshop. Met the guy runs the place - as it turns out, his Mrs. wants to get into archery and bow making.

Signing up on Wednesday.

Glued a riser on the above bow..

Have this one almost ready to tiller.

Ruffed in the tips.

Always enjoy your builds, Roy.

I'll come up with something ornery later.  Right now I have a toothache.   :biglaugh:

Lookin good Roy! (the bow, not you)

I slid a mini excavator over a bank and banged my head and left shoulder pretty nicely.

Kind of sore, but think none the worse for wear.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Haven't been working on them. Was bear hunting last weekend, bud got one. Been fighting a cold all week, wife has walking pneumonia, and going buck hunting up north this weekend.
