Got my deer hide scraped and tacked up ready to dry into rawhide. It's going to take a while seeing that tomorrow they're calling for rain and cold temps. Be a good day to get back into the shop and continue on with my hunting bow.

Funny thing is Canopyboy our work is all up in Northern Virginia and in Maryland. Throughout the week my bro and I are either in Mclean, Vienna, Fairfax, Falls Church, Arlington, or Alexandria.

Never been in Fairfax Station area though. But we hit houses all around that area in Lorton, Chantilly, Springfield, and Manassas. I've been going to 3-D courses down by richmond because my bowyer mentor goes to them, but I've even also thought about going to some ranges in the northern virginia area, maybe meet some folks here on the board, that would be awesome.

You go to any 3-D shoots?

Today I worked on my bandsaw, installed new tires, a zero clearance insert, new fence and resaw fence. What a pain in the butt getting everything perfectly square and plumb. But I eventually got it. Then I finished putting up the insulation in the ceiling. I'm itchy and I'm done for the day.

Wrote specs on new hickory bow over a Massey finish, now spray a few coats of satin spar urethane and let it dry a few days.

Nice Jonathan!

Randy, I occasionally do the 3D shoots at NORVA, but am up for other shoots as well in the area. We should definitely try to meet up at one.

Yesterday I had my wife in the shop helping run some 3-1/2" rough white oak slabs through the machines to make her massive laundry countertop. She does pretty good work! Today I ordered a new belt sander after getting pissed off at my existing one for the last time. Then watched my team win through pure luck. This weekend I also got feedback from a couple of bows that I sent out last week, appears the new owners aren't too dissatisfied, that's always good.

Bet that new snow blower got a work out...   :)

Looks like Minnesota! It was -20°f here yesterday morning. -11°f this morning. I have family in Bryne,  I would love to visit them in Norway someday.

Received a set of cabinet scrapers in the mail with a burnishing hardened steel rod. Took my glue-up form out of the attic. Added stealth strips to my rock climbing harness and new ascender for hunting and then I watched football. It was 11 degrees in the garage and I didn't feel like paying to heat it up to 60.

Hang in there Robert, you will be back to normal before you know it.

I got bad news yesterday from the MRI. Bone spur and partial rotator cuff tear. Going to need surgery. Not happy about this.

Zradix

Sorry Roy.

Suppose we all have it coming.

Those guys and gals are pretty skilled with their knives and grinders though...they'll get ya goin again.

Sorry to hear that Roy. Hopefully they can get it done soon and prayers for healing and recovery for you.

Roy thats not something to look forward to but when you heal up you'll feel so much better and finally be able to shoot those bows you build

Roy, on the bright side, something can be done about it!
