About to start a take down and had ordered everything but MT-13 epoxy for metal to wood is on backorder.  Have everything else so was wondering if it would work ok to use a two-part epoxy for that that I can get locally?  Thanks

Just check with the manufacturer - then you will get solid advice. I always ask the makers after all they will have done extensive testing to get the product to market and these days all it takes is an email  :)

I always use 2 part epoxy from store.  You are not after max strength but just to keep from un threading.

I usually just use some smooth on but, have used the hardware store epoxy with no problems.

I also use smooth on. After I drill the hole for the threaded insert I tap it and put smooth on in the hole and on the the insert. Don't forget to De  oil the threaded insert before use. Have never had a insert come out in 26 years. Good luck.
