Well, I am like a small child with a new toy!I Received this parcel from dhl

Soy Thank you. This bow is beautifull. Really well build. I am in awe of the craftmans ship.

And then as a cherry on top. Something that I always wanted to have. The primitive stone tipped arrow! Oh man I am a happy guy at the moment.

The photo's does not convey the beauty of this. bow. It is build so slender and sleek but throw an arrow straight and with authority. I just wan't to get the instructions and details from Soy before I really test it. Was pitch dark when I got home last night but just had to shoot an arrow or two.

Thank you Soy.!! Could you please send me the details on weight and wood id's and the instructions.

Regards
Willem

I shouldn't hassle you Dave, you did have that one bow of mine explode at full draw ... That was definately not alright.    :knothead:  [/QB]
I've probably had the luck to shoot more of Ben's bows than anyone besides Ben himself. Something about being local before he moved made me a perfect crash test dummy I guess. And while I had forgotten about the exploding ones, I am still awed that an all-wood bow can look and shoot like a glass one. Ben has it down. And lucky for me, he has a sense of humor that is bigger than he is...

Ben, when are you coming down? I've been waiting. That dust collector isn't collecting any more dust, just cobwebs waiting for you. And I'm going to need warning if I'm to finish my sander in time for you to take the old one with you.

It should also be noted that you're in good company Ben -- I've had one of Roy's bows blow up on me at full draw too.

Kelly, I am nearly finished. It's a bow, and it's been shot in fairly thoroughly. Needs to be signed and have another coat or two of poly. I will ship no later than the 31st.

Got to figure out how to ship it. The more reflex and deflex the harder it is to fit in a PVC tube.

Try heating the tube a little and pressing it to flatten it some. You can block the ends with wood plugs.

Kelly.  Your wife ship your bow to you yet?

I am traveling so can't post pics of the cable backed bow til I get home after Sept 1.  There was some pictures of it on page 7 or so when he was making it.

Not really Ben. Sometimes the brain does what it's supposed to though...    ;)

Nice bow Soy! Looks like it has some speed.

bigbob2

good one willem! must be karma! Soy you sure are ramping it up a notch or two, great work my friend!

KellyG

No she has not I think she is going to wrap them and put them under the christmas tree and pass them off as gifts.

LittleBen

Ok little teaser here. I will ship this bow tomorrow hopefully.

Specs: 67"AMO, 1.5" wide tapering to ~1/2" tips, maybe a bit wider. Bamboo baked osage with walnut core. Thin ipe power lam. Handle is laminated jatoba and Claro walnut just for some contrast. Tips are osage.

57# @ 28" has been drawn to 29" safely.

Holds just about 1.5" reflex after been shot in pretty thoroughly. Top limb is longer by an inch or so, I forget exactly. Positive tiller, don't know exactly how much but I like the way it shoots, and the tiller is very stable.

One more and a clip of full draw and shooting. This thing has some heat to it.

I like that a lot Ben. It looks really good and it's a real shooter!

Ben, that bow looks pretty sweet. And I think your draw length is increasing!
