Well then, if Formica will work as a backing I may go cut a 1-1/2" wide strip out of the kitchen counter and glue some plywood on for the riser and I am 90% done with this swap! How do you think fake granite will look for a bow?

Black Palm is so cool...here's mine.

Something that worked for me was to soak in super thin CA glue before I finished it. Black palm is very fibrous and not too strong so I kind of stabilized it with glue. It finished up hard and smooth.

Got my victim's name and I'm super nervous!  I've seen enough of this guy's work to know that I need to step up my game and pull out all the stops.  Hope I don't disappoint.  Now to spot and stalk!

One of two things will happen; it'll either work or it won't.

well poor Kelly G got me he said.  Must have felt bad for all of you guys and kept my name to the end.

So he doesn't want me posting pics to ruin the surprise for him. (or keep him from cringing)

Soo sorry Kelly.  Maybe I should just send you some money and you can go buy a bow hahaha  (all in good fun if you guys don't know me well)

Actually palm is stronger than steel on a % basis, but it is brittle.Lovely bow too and the result makes the extra effort worth it

Gaur, I've seen enough of your work to be impressed.  You still able to get albino buffalo horn?
