I designed and built this little 48" recurve as an experiment from scrap glass/ maple lams. Suprising how fast this little bow shoots.

A special thanks to Mike Mecredy over at MadDog bows for his help with the stack on this bow.

Was thinking this might be a good design for a high performance kids bow until the wife got her hands on it, with her short draw, probably not gonna get it back.

Oh well guess I can always build another one or 3

It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Great looking bow  - very sleek...I am not sure what that means but it sounds good.    :D

Great looking bow.  The short ones have a bunch of wow factor.  Thanks for sharing with us.  How much taper etc? We need details leaving the out is cruel.

The specs. on this bow are: 46" NTN, .170 total stack with .030 glass on the back and .020 on the belly. The maple lams are parallel (no taper) The limbs are 1 3/8 wide. 40# @ 26", 14" riser. The profile of this bow is similar to a reduced K mag.

James -- Is that your design?  Would you be willing to share a tracing of that profile?  Or did you buy a proprietary plan somewhere for it?

I've toyed with the idea of making a bow similar to yours with a  "banana" shaped riser that would run from your riser's fades, to the deep part of your grip and back out.

I don't care for what I call the "prosthetic" grip, and I prefer shooting off the hand rather than a shelf.  I know... I'm weird....
