I just set my tree up with the draw length lines measured from the back of the handle where the draw length is measured from. That way I don't have to add or subtract, never was any good at that..  :)

So you using a sliding ruler of some sort or some other method of making it adjustable?  Or do you just always make the same thickness handle?

Roy from Pa

Handle is always the same design.

I have a few lengths of that same wood. I had no idea what it was. All I knew was that it was very hard. Now I know.
Thanks.
I did cut up a couple of logs for lams in my glass bows. That wood is very flexible. I can bend 1/4x1.5x3 foot long slats till the ends touch with no problem at all.
Good luck with your build, it will be interesting to see how this wood performs.

I measure from the back. I see no reason to change. I don't make FG bows.

I just put down a strip of duct tape and measure off ad mark the inches on it.
