I just built a bracket to lay my belt sander on its side. I haven't tried to do any tapered lams, yet, but tested it on a hickory backer and got the dips you are talking about. It was hard to keep the feed speed consistent with a 6 foot piece of limber wood. I definitely have some fine tuning to do.

My guess would be, unless your drum is on an axle shaft with both ends supported, there would be some degree of wobble of the drum.

LESKEN2011

Not sure about that, Roy, but it doesn't feel like it gives or wobbles at all when it is anchored down with clamps. I have been flirting with the idea of how to afford the Griz baby drum, but have to sell a couple of my other bows to do that.

I love mine, cut lam grinding time by 3 times. If you do more than a few bows a year its a must have. Get by until you have a few bucks saved up then make the purchase.

Wow, nice job guys.  Love the arrows and snake Eric!

I've got the riser block done and limb pads cut.  Need to drill holes in it yet.  Got limb lams ground.  Still need to make the wedges and waiting on glass to glue the limbs up.  I need to figure out something to use as a camera to get some pics up.  The walnut lams look amazing, and I'm sure they're gonna pop under glass.  My wife's camera was just found at her parent's house 7 hours away, so I'm not sure what I'll do, but hopefully get some kind of pictures up soon.
