not a bad idea timbermoose.  either that or about 15 more 3.5" deck screws.  i don't see me tillering anything over 60# anytime soon though.

Eric, it looks great. If you choose to use screamers you may want to stack them on top of each other like you did on the beam it is screwed into. Deck screws have less shear strength. The way you have it done now the screws follow a grain path in the wood any stress in it might split the block.

Great job Eric. I like how the strap will make setup easier. Should balance out when drawing the string. I may have to copy what you have there    :dunno:

:)Sorry that's a nick name for deck screws. They scream when you screw them into wood.

I just finished cleaning the drive and vehicles of all the snow we got yesterday and at 12:30 pm today, I will be heading to the Post Office to get my Trade Bow on its way. Hopefully all the bad weather is gone for the next several days and it wont be held up by bad road conditions.

Eric that rattler is a big ol fatty, gonna look sweet on my bow.   :D
That chalk board take me back to my days of pounding erasers together for detention!    :nono:

Ha on the chalkboard erasers. We used to take the erasers and cut them up in tiny pieces and then stack them back together so it looked like nothing was wrong so when the teacher grabbed them they would fall apart in the floor. It sounds stupid looking back but it was funny back then. Finally got my wifes cabinet done so maybe I can get started on my swap bow.  Hopefully that is. Thats a great looking bow Eric. Your doing a fine job on it.

I've run aground, the swap bow was perfect.

Weight, looks , it had it all.

When I sprayed it, the clear glass I put under the handle overlay showed up milky. I used Permatex crystal clear 5 min epoxy on it so I could work on it sooner. Bad mistake.

I guess I'll grind it all off, but now I don't have the matching lam overlay for it.

I may start over............  :banghead:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Tough break Kenny.
I bet We'd all be happy with it with the milky overlay.
