That is sharp! I hope to finish profiling the limbs this weekend. Shouldn't be much longer now.

Well I have to admit I'm getting a bit anxious.  I looked back in the thread and I posted that I was done around the end of May.  I had the bow ready to ship and at the last minute I double checked and realized I wasn't suppose to ship until my recipient had their bow shipped.  Sooo..... as soon as someone gets theirs shipped I can send mine off too!

Here's a reminder pic.

Now it has the strike plate and string on it too!  :)

Maybe I need to take it out and shoot it some more!

Refuse to re-iterate the chain of events that have impacted my time this year!  I'm finally back home and have some spare time.

Bow is under construction, that's all I can say.

I got the limbs profiled tonight. Just have a bit more tweaking to do. The tiller looks good. Hopefully tomarrow, the limbs will be done and the overlays and tips will get glued on. With any luck, I'll be shooting this thing shortly. It's gonna look good when all is said and done. I hope my recipient can forgive my tardiness!
I have one tip that is pulling slightly off center, and still have to round the edges, and I only have four pounds to work with. It may come in a couple pounds under, but it will shoot good!

OK, my swap bow should go out Monday. I have all the coats of finish on it. The finish was working so well this time I forgot to sign it so I will need to add a couple of protective coats to protect the writing. Then the strike plate, rest, and string silencers. It is not perfect, but for my 2nd glass bow, I am happy with it. Here are some teaser pics.

Looks nice! Is that a spliced riser or is that one piece with sapwood on the grip side? Either way, it turned out very sharp.

LESKEN2011

Thanks! Half the riser block is walnut and the other half is hickory. The hickory part is about half heartwood and half sapwood.

I love that contrast in the throat area of the grip...very sharp!

Crittergetter

Very slick! I love the braced profile! Did you design this bow or is someone else's design? Either way it's a beauty.

Congrats on a beautiful piece of work!!!

Thanks, Guys. The design is by JamesV. He helped me build the form and gave me a riser template to match. He also pretty much made my taper sled. I might have held a wrench or something...   :bigsmyl:

Finally got mine to near completion.  Here are a couple pics of it about to be signed.  I'll post more pics after I put the finish on it.  Should be ready to ship late next week.
