them are both looking real nice. taken another try at the swap bow last night, now heading towards a "2 piece" riser like kennym and a couple other i've seen do. glue up a strip of the riser in the lams then glue on the belly side over the lams and glass and shape from there.

also cut a bunch of maple and walnut "slats for trilams, after a lot of tablesaw adjustment. my bandsaw is a cheap "mastercraft" one and in no way possible to do good clean lines.

my wife came into the shop at 11 last night and looked around, been living here 12 days now, shop is far more organized than the house, realized i have 5 bows in the works plus 3 kids bows. and then she sees all the wood for the trilams, i have enough to do 8 of them. but no glue.

I'm in the doghouse. at least it has a stereo and locking door.  ;)

Geez Camron that thing is sweet. I really like the braced shape. Just cant go wrong with yellow wood either. Very nice.

Canopy the squirrel comment was funny. We say that at work when someone says random stuff

Nice bows everybody!  Should've got in it this year

Thanks guys!  I don't remember who asked, but the limbs are some curly walnut on the back and just some nice grained hickory on the belly.  Riser is quarter sawn sycamore and walnut I beam with .030 walnut/red core tuff/walnut accent.

Turns out I'm not tiling my dad's new bathroom this weekend so I should have plenty of time to shape that riser, get tips on, glue up one-piece hybrid I'm working on, get lams ground for the other hybrid, measure for a new retaining wall, SQUIRREL!, and maybe even get some stuff figured out for the next takedown.

that looks very smooth and attractive!

I put a string on it tonight and I've got some tillering work to do.  Got one limb stiffer than the other but I've got some width to play with and its a little heavy to so I can afford to lose some weight fixing the tiller.  I'll figure it out in the next day or two.
