What do you guys use as a pressure strip under the hose clamp? wood, metal, alum, and does it conform to the riser fades or do you bend it to fit on a dry-run? Hill style form. Thanks Burt

I used a 1.5" wide and 1/16" thick aluminum flat stock piece.  It bent at the fades perfectly.  I also used a piece of romex to put some pressure on the middle of the limb as I was using a rubber band form.

And it bent itself on the dry run.  Good luck.  You'll have fun with it.

I used a couple 1/8" backing strips and glued them with SmoothOn and put them on top of a bow I was gluing up.After everything cured I had a good formed strip to use on top each time.

I bought Binghams 1 1/2" and 1 3/4" galvanized pressure strips (3 each) when I started building bows in 2009. I have 3 forms and have a pressure strip for each one. I have 3 spares for the future. I wax the metal pressure strip before each build to help keep it free and clean of any smooth on squeeze out. The pressure strips do bend to the shape of the form, I pull all lams and pressure strip down to form with strapping tape then add plastic and hose..
