It is a lammed together  phenolic riser with 1/4" walnut caps on sides.

A 250  CX heritage 31" long with 250 up front is working nicely.

I haven't done enough testing to see if the tapered glass helped or hurt. my feeling right now is it didn't make any difference , unless it is quieter. David Flanrey is here hunting on the lease and shot it today, he thinks it is pretty quiet.

Actually took her hunting tonite, but was in the right place at the wrong time I guess, saw zip!!
17* with a 20 mph wind when I went and 14* when I came out. BRRRRR

The bow not only looks great it is hot.  We shot it through crono with a heavy arrow and got 174.  It is real quiet.  Now if we could get the deer to cooperate.

Kenny, what do you think of the "I-beam" riser method?  I can understand how it might add stiffness, but on most (not yours of course    ) I don't care for the looks. Any noticeable difference?
