My daughter's cherry bark mulberry bow

I made this from a broken branch on our backyard tree and backed it with cherry bark.  It's 63" NTN and 25# @  24".  The tip overlays are red elm.  Glueing the bark on wasn't the chore that I thought it would be and I plan on making one for myself someday.

Did you use the foam strip backers?
Try making one with the lichens and mosses still attached. It looks great and makes a cool looking camo pattern.

No, I didn't have anything like that handy, Pat.  I wound up wrapping it with a couple of Ace bandages and a couple of dowels against the belly to keep it taut.  I used Titebond 3.  I'm going to be so torn between leaving the bark natural and steel wooling it to get that bronze color.  Maybe I'll make one of each.
