I have a customer without spraying equipment that wants to finish a white glass bow with something in a spray can or wipe on.

Is anyone familiar with such a product that doesn't yellow on white glass?

I've never had white glass overlays yellow with minwax spray on...

I also have had very good luck with Min Wax poly in the spray can. Have some white limb bows going on 10 years with no signs of yellowing.

Min Wax wipe on poly doesn't yellow white glass either.

The Min Wax wipe on polly, gloss or satin, I buy is yellow comming out of the can and after about 6 coats you got a yellow bow. Krylon makes Crystal, a rattle can spray that sprays on clear, don't know if it will yellow with time.

Those of you recommending the minwax poly, are you talking about oil based or water based?

jsweka

Oil based.

I have had it yellow some woods a bit, but not white glass.  I finished a little bow for my daughter a couple years ago that had white glass on both back and belly and used Minwax Poly.  It's still white as ever.

I would avoid the min wax poly...Krylon makes an acrylic clear spray that would be a good choice...
