Quitter  :)   Keep at it.  Those aren't too tough once you get the hang.

Yeah, nobody likes a quitter, but I screwed up the thicker rings and I'm left with the really thin ones.

I'll hang on to that stave until I get some experience with some more rookie-friendly ones and then give it another go.

I really do have a much better appreciation for the craftsmanship of you self bow gurus.  Glass lam bows are child's play.

As thin as those rings are, you might be better off using a scraper instead of a draw knife. I knew you glass bow guys didn't have very big family jewels:)..

jsweka

Ha ha!

I was using a combination of scraper and draw knife.  Still kept screwing it up.

Don't feel too bad john....ya should've seen Roy the first(and only) time he tried to chase a ring..and he had firsthand help from both Jeff and I .... we gave him a good rib poking    :biglaugh:   ...too bad your not closer this way,as I'm sure I'd be able to help ya out..or Jeff too.

jsweka

Yeah Chris...I may have to make the journey down your way for one of Roy's Bow-nanzas.
