George these where staves of Shag Hickory I cut about two years ago. VB that's an interesting observation. When I originally split and de-barked the staves I had followed the readings of one of the bibles and sealed the end with tite bond. Then Laid them in my wood rack. Its close to the concrete floor, but not on it?
Maybe a combination of things goin on 90% me 10% wood..lol I appreciate everyone's advice. I was definitely missing/mis interpretating some steps in the process.
