Aussie bows.

This one is a HH style flat laid but with 'palm swell' or locater grip. It is a light weight being 30# at 28'' and 66 NTN, and a 'leftie'. Timber in riser is Blue gum with beefwood accent and overlay is Red box.

this is my deflex/reflex style. 53# at 28'' and 66NTN.Timber in riser is Blue gum and hairy oak. Belly veneers on both bows are black wattle.

Wow, what is that wood used for the I-beam in the RD longbow? Is that the hairy oak?  I love the way it looks.  You guys have some cool "timbers" down under..   :thumbsup:

thanks for the kind words gents.beachbowhunter you got in one ,-- it is the hairy oak. I may have mentioned this before in a previous post but it gets its name from the fibrous bark, not because its in need of a shave.   :goldtooth:
