This is a bow I'm making for Charlie Jefferson(stringstretcher). Charlie likes ca "Hill" style bow so I gave this bow a deep, narrow handle and will add a leather shelf and sewn on leather handle wrap along with an American Longbow style bow. When done she'll be about 45#@26" and is about 65" t/t.
Around Christmas she looked like this...

...and this...

After a bit of hear, olive oil and some clamping she began to look more like this...

...and after a few weeks and a little more manipulating she is beginning to come around. Here is where she sits today. I still need to reduce the weight a little, shoot her in with 100 arrows or so and then do the finish work.

Nice Pat!  I was kind of wondering about the title of the thread until I got a good look at the second to last picture.  :)

Pretty cool bow, Pat.
I don't think I'd ever have the patience to work around the knots like that.

Cool looking bow Pat, really like the Hill style grip.

Pat B

Thanks everyone. It has been a fun project. Lots of different sessions with the heat gun and clamps but I think she will make Charlie a good bow.
