If two bows are made on the same form with the same length at the same weight, one with actionboo core and one with wood core will the bamboo bow seem smoother to draw? I'm talking about mild r-d bows similar to a Great Northern Critter Gitter Special(which have narrow and thick limbs). Also, will there be an increase in speed? Will one bow have a thicker core to attain the same weight as the other? Just some things I've been pondering lately. I sold my bow building stuff last summer and seem to be missing it more than I thought. Thanks in advance to any answers to my questions. Rob

I don't know about thickness or weight I only have 1 boo core bow and it is very smooth to draw and cast a fast arrow but I can't tell e diferance in speed from my red eld core bows

Here Rob,

I built a few as close as possible awhile back,  I personally can't tell any diff in smoothness, but I'm not very sensitive like Roy. (side joke)

The speed tests and all are here...

In my bows the aboo will have a thicker core than wood and be 2-3 fps slower.
I've heard that bamboo feels smoother but I haven't noticed it.
