Wayne, I had to laugh when you mentioned giving your grinder a spin to get it going. I have an old 10" jointer that has a mortiser on one end and a table saw on the other. When it's cold out, I have to give it a spin by hand before turning it on or it won't go. One day it will get a new motor with a capacitor, but not just yet - I'll have to completely dismantle it to change it out.
