Canopyboy Osage is a good compression wood. Ole roy uses it with boo and makes a very sweet bow.

Ouch, sorry Boswell.

Looks sweet Kelly..

My trade bow is FINISHED!!!!  Here is a completed photo:

It is my second attempt at building a bow, and I think it came out well.  One limb has 7/8" of set and the other 1 1/4".  Hopefully ******** will appreciate it, the bows he makes are beautiful...this one is a beginner's utilitarian bow made of maple with oak tips.

I will get it shipped out Tuesday or Wednesday, I just need to figure out the best way to ship a 72" bow!

mwirwicki

Nice lookin' shooter, right there!

Roy from Pa

Nice AZ. Buy a light weight 3 or 4 inch diameter piece of plastic pipe. Wrap the bow with something soft to pad it. Plug the ends with end caps and ship it. Prolly cost about $25.00 to ship it.

JGL

ok so I got the pics I wanted but no matter what I do I cant get them to post right they are showing correct on photo bucket but not here I will be mailing it in the morning. Its not perfect but its my best work yet and i'm sorry to see it go. oh yea its 66in t/t about 44lbs at ** inches hickory board boy with exotic red wood handle with bocote tips and piece in the handle with artificial snakeskin backing. tips had about 1 1/2 in glued in reflex ended with about that much set

i think i got it now i had to log out of photobucket then log in

KellyG

nice looking bow fellas just let me know when they ship.

KellyG

AZ I was asked to verify that your draw was truly 31.5" so is it so.

canopyboy

Ok, about to leave on a trip, back for a few days and then vacation with in-laws.  My rash attempt at a fix last night didn't hold.  Should have left it and kept it.  Oh well.

Already laying out the next one, but will be late.  Won't be chiming in for awhile, but still in the game.

Boswell

Well after mine broke yesterday afternoon, Tonight after work I grabbed the only other stave that I have that is longer than 52 inches and got it worked to a ring, layed out and profiled tonight. Will start floor tillering tomorrow when I get home from work.

Well see what happens,

Thanks

JGL

oh wow that sucks boswell way to not give up   :clapper:   and thanks westtexan

WestTexan

I can understand that for sure. Ive been using my phone mostly and I have it set to only download downsized pics.

kennym

Guys, if you ship usps priority, you should get 104" total of girth and length.  Also if you print your own label, you save 10 to 15% on shippin!

JGL that is one good looking bow.

Here is what mine is looking like trying to get that upper limb bending more.

Stiks-n-Strings

I'd say about another 10 or 20 scrapes mid limb Kelly and she'll be dialed in. Looks great!
