TG BOW SWAP 2012 (pics and post)

You folks all saw the beautiful recurve that Burshwolf / Mike Tenley built for the bow trade this year..  well I don't have or own a bow that I won't hunt and Mikes bow is no exception and it preformed flawlessly today...  about a hour after sunup this fella fell to Mikes bow. He gave me a quartering to me shot and I hugged the shoulder...  we took out the lungs and the top of the heart...  no tracking here...  I want to thank everyone here on the bowyers bench for allowing me to be a part of the swap and to Mike for drawing my name and building such a special bow...

Nice deer Kip... I bet it took awhile to get the smile of your face after that one. I haven't had time to even look at a deer. Maybe next month I'll get a chance.

Ok I got word another bow was received. So I am down to 2 folks not getting a bow.

Ink and his bowyer will be done very soon. He was put behind when ink thought he would not be able to complete a bow and dropped out. Then he hit the mountains but I know he will get one shipped soon. Heck he has built extra bows in the past.

Second is Keenan His bowyer has been banded so a back up bowyer has started a bow and will get him on as soon as he can.

It is not as bad as it could have been I quess, far from perfect but we only had one bow received and who did the unthinkable just not fulfill their end. I think that this was the least amount that has happened.

I think next year I will leave to the receiver to decide after the grace time is up if any more time will be given.

The newbie and late shipping rule clogged up the system a bit but I think it helped keep the us to that one not compliant bowyer.

Well I will post when I get word on the last two.
I have not forgotten you two.

Kelly, roughly 1% failure rate ain't too bad in any industry. Heck if all we get is 1% dud in the comming election we would be doing pretty well. Will be lucky if we get 1% efficiency this tuesday

I would like to share a couple of pics of my first trad deer courtesy of my swap bow from Matt Wirwicki. It took me over 4 years of trying but now I'm off the schneid.
