so we have gone from this

to this

i re spliced the limbs   and have been steam treating the limbs into some reflex to adjust for the pretty major deflex the resplicing created.

i did not use a form, just clamped the limbs to my bench at the right place with a block under the tips to press up the limb into reflex.

i have steamed them twice but because the one limb was already much more deflexed it drops off a bit more at the fades.

should i bring up the right limb to be more even or just work with it as is?

thanks for reading

I am no expert, but I would work with what you have in the second picture. Working towards a floor tiller, shaping and such.

Wondering if maybe Pat B could give some suggestions on the riser area, as that may be a concern. (not sure if it could be backed for strength or not)

Your right limb seems to have a little RandD look to it. (which I like BTW) from what I understand a little more difficulty in the tillering factor.

Keep at it...

Sorry I meant no harm... My odd humor? Sometimes,,, I am the only one who gets it!

It looked like yew, and I guess I was trying to be funny.

I would go to the floor and see how it is bending, then on to the long string.
