Thanks for bringing this back up and I have everything ready to build another bow just like the other one. Unfortunately she developed a crack in the Osage that's not fixable, I was drawing on a 10yd shot at a doe when it broke dang it!

I will miss that bow but now I can share the making of another one with you guys and I hope some of you will do the same. As soon as I can find some time here soon I will get a thread going with lots of picks. It's trapping season too and I would like to finish that up first, We flesh stretch and dry are fur for selling and that takes some time to do but I will get it done for you guys

I hear ya Tracy I do a little trapping myself from time to time. Not so much this season with all the rain we had. I trap alot in the bottoms and I was flooded out most of the season.

Looking forward to a build along when you get a chance. I got a piece of boo and a good slat with this build in mind.

The more I look at this the more I think about digging the supplies out to build one.

Tracy I think since you ended up with a little reflex I'm gonna glue mine up with about an inch of reflex and I figure I'll end up with a little string follow. What do you think?

The bow did end up with just a little bit of string follow and thats what I was hoping for.

Tracy, I'm thinking on a trilam of boo back, bloodwood center lam and osage belly with a blood wood handle.

I spent a bit last night looking at hill bows and schulz bows. I want to get it as close to a Hill style that I can.

Is your belly tillered with a flat cross section or more of an oval cross section?

Sounds like some good wood combinations Kris and should make a fine looking bow. Looking forward to the finished project  

Hang in there Nathan and I will start getting everything ready soon.    Doe season and turkeys are still open till the end of January and Trapping ends soon after.

Plenty of rabits around Billings thats for sure, We hunted NW of town and down around Hardin and they were all over the place. Hope to get back there again one of these days.

I just got threw putting her back together enough that she can hang on the wall. Just need to put a new finish on it and retire her.
