osage bow

heres one finished couple days ago , you might have seen it on PA .osage stave  55 inches tip to tip 46 lbs at 28 coachwhip skins

Yep, I saw that one on PA but still just as perty here as it was over there. You have a real knack for nailing those tillers perfect. Nice job Ken.  :thumbsup:

Nice bow, Ken. How thick and wide is the handle section?
I have an osage stave that I worked down to about 1" and was thinking of a bend-through-the-handle bow.

red its 1 1/4 out of the handle handle thicness is about 5/8th hard to tell but its a single pass handle just one side narrowed for the pass.

Another nice looker Ken.  I think it's OK if you want to take some time to sleep between building bows.  Do you take much time to shoot any of these?

thanks Scott , i do have a few that i shoot regular . ive actually taken some time off lately and slowed down on building . i would still like to get a dozen or so in by deer season though.
