Kenny,

That is brilliant, I really love it. If you wanna make one about 50#@27, you could ship it to England.      :D

I would love a set of plans aswell!

Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks guys!

I don't sell any bows, just donate to good causes. Missed having one for ST Judes this year, may have to fancy one up for next year!

The plans I will sell, but only after finishing a couple and tweaking the design. So a few months out yet!  :)
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Kenny - You know I'm more into simple Hill style longbows, but that one is a real eye-catcher. That risr is very nicely shaped

I misread my speed square, the limb pad angles are 14 instead of 10.

Don't know how that happened!  :knothead:

Waiting to see what GREAT product Kenny has in the end.

Kenny,

I too am curious as to why you decided to go to a 3 pc. takedown?  Based on your comment that you were trying to achieve "similar shooting results of your 1 pc r/d design" I would think that the added mass in the riser needed for a 3  pc. and the difference of reflex that you have in your takedown limbs made for a rather different feeling / shooting bow.  Maybe not speed wise, but in the way the shot feels.  It's a nice looking full-draw bow in my opinion, almost looks to me like a take-down longbow...

fujimo

'cos we all been begging kenny for a 3 piece- for those of us who like a 3 piece.
and good man has risen to the occaision.
its gonna be a bit different for sure- but the same thoughts and ideas have gone into it as his i piece- and they have a mighty fine rep.
one more arrow in his fine quiver( sorry!!!)

kennym

Yep, def a TD longbow, just tryin to get a sweetshootin bow.

Here are the chrono results. Think it would gain a bit by adding some stack and narrowing the limbs down a little more. Wanted to keep this one up over 40-45 for now.

NOTE- this is with a shooting machine and a mechanical release, fingers will be 4-5 fps less for most folks.

First the 628 grain CX 250 w/250 up front...

46 @ 28 -- 13.65 gpi -- 156 fps
48.5 @ 29- 12.95 gpi -- 163 fps
51 @ 30 -- 12.31 gpi -- 169 fps
53.5 @ 31- 11.74 gpi -- 177 fps
56 @ 32 -- 11.21 gpi -- 184 fps

Notice she stacks a bit after 31"

Now the 395 grain CX 150 w 145(I think) up front

46 @ 28 -- 8.59 gpi -- 188 fps
48.5 @ 29- 8.14 gpi -- 195 fps
51 @ 30 -- 7.75 gpi -- 207 fps
53.5 @ 31- 7.38 gpi -- 211 fps

Ran out of arra length!  :knothead:

Very nice Kenny-especially for the first one off the form. Looks like you maintained that nice bend in the limbs like the one piece too.

Lookin' good Kenny - when are your plans going to be ready?!!

Nice job Kenny.  The braced profile looks nearly identical to the original one piece.

THANK YOU!!!!

kennym

Thanks guys, I gotta build a couple more and shoot this one a bunch before I can let any templates out.

I love the way it shoots.

Cool Kenny! I'm right in the middle of building one that's very similar. Looking to go for 56" to 60" with a very similar design. So hope mine turns out as nice.
