I am not a fan of putting a bow back into the over after the first glue up, so here is a few things I made to help me not have to re-heat the entire bow.
The first set of pictures are of the small heat boxes for curing the glue on the tips.I only use a small 40w light bulb and I can get the temp as high as 180 deg.

These pictures are how I glue on overlays over the riser and the results.

Good idea on the overlays-I'll have to try that.

hmmm, looks good.

mine is a little simpler.. for the tip overlays, I use a work light clamped to the limb with a towel thrown over it.

And for the riser overlays, two blocks of wood cut so they match the curvature, with a 1/8" piece of rubber between the jig and the overlays. A couple c-clamps hold it on.

At this point, the less contraptions I have sittin' around the shop, the better  :)

red hill

Good idea. Bet it works well.
