I wood like to see how people have handled the finish with paper backing. Anything you have done to make it look nice;tru-oil,painted,stained.....ect. Thanks for any input.

Here you go.  All stained, some finished in wax, others with sray urethane.

To get a contrasting color, always stain the backing before you trim it.  Hope that helps.

I don't have pics as I'm at work but I stained mine with MinWax antique walnut.  Gave it a nice deep brown color.  Then sealed with poly spray on.  Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the pics 4est. It's good to see how the stain looks. I have thought of doing something with paint but just haven't thought a good design yet.

I Just finished putting this on, dyed paper with food color, used TBIII, finished w/ tru-oil and a paste wax. I may have put my glue on a little thick make sure to work it out good but be careful not to tare paper.

Good luck, Chuck
