Lee Robinson .

How do they compare to standard belts when working with hardwoods, fiberglass, and phenolic?
Until next time...good shooting,

I use Gator Grit belts becuase I can get them locally when I need one. They hold up for a good long while against my Osage and Rosewood. That rosewood is some hard stuff.

As long as I use the big eraser quite often to clean the belt, I get my money's worth out of them and my belt sander gets used alot!

Ceramic belts will stand up very well.  However for the price Zirconia may be a better option.
I'll second supergrit.com. I wanted a zirconia 60 grit roll with Hook and loop backing for my thickness sander and they now carry/stock it based on my order.  They only had finer grits available up until that point.
