super exotic woods

I want to have a custom Longbow made out of the most beautiful exotic woods available , but I want it to still have boo cores. what is some ideas of some really BEAUTIFUL super exotic woods to make a bow from(no expense spared)

i'm partial to light colored woods such as curly maple. i also love dark woods with beautiful grain like bacote. there are many more but those two always pop in my head. don

wild olive, and red ivory from southern africa.

This may not be considered super exotic, yet the best looking combo in my mind. Bocote limbs and riser footed with cocobola.

This is santos rosewood veneer, it gets darker and nicer looking under clear glass..

Super fancy English Walnut , Koa, Macassar that is highly figured. Snakewood,. Although unstable,
Super fancy Claro Walnut. If you look at a thread called Bills, Eaglewing you can see some of that. You said no expense spared. These woods are as nice as they can get. Also there is some really wild crazy quilt maple if you like light wood.

The most gorgeous wood I have ever used though is some really high quality chocolate burl myrtle wood. If you go to my site there is a bow on there with it . That wood is to die for and about that hard to get.
Macassar and Highly fiddlebacked koa with koa limb veneers would be my choice though. Expect to pay a bunch/ This is one I built with koa and spalted maple

got enough of this Curly Bubinga to build 8 bows, this piece is enough for one bows worth of veneers..colors will pop when the smooth on epoxy hits it during glue up..

I think it has alot to with a guys gift to find the treasures inside the woods... IdahoCurt, Sixby, Big Jim and many others here on Tradgang seem to have the talent to see it before they dig it out.

Coaster, The problem is that usually you have to buy a large piece and it is a lot of bucks for a piece of wood. I know that I spend more on wood than a lot of guys charge for a bow. Seriously.
I just got a piece of myrtle that is simply stunning. I had to buy one piece that was 50 inches x 40 inches x 2 1/2 inches and I had to leave behind 6 more pieces that were larger. No way to carry them and no way to pay for them LOl. That was hard to do but man I am thankful for the one I got. I spend a lot of time finding and buying good wood. to me it is a very large part of bow building./ In the Bible it says that it is the pleasure of God to hide a thing and the treasure of kings to search out a matter. I kind of like that.
