to much trapped, string problem

a new bow came out with to much #. So i am trapped this bow on the belly but now i have not enough material for the string grove shoulder. (Sorry i have no pictures yet). Is there a way to fix this in an elegant way ?

File the string grooves deeper? Or add some tip overlays?

A notch is only needed...a groove is if you have enough material.

Maybe this drawing explains the problem. The string is wandering of if at brace height.

If you have the bow limbs straight and the shape of the notch rounded into a perfect tear drop, you do not need any shoulders, and the string will not wander off track.  i would carefully reshape the notch and check it for dead center.

I've had problems with this myself a lot in the past until i really started paying close attention to the shape of the tip notches. Brutha Sixby hammered that one into me.....

using the shoulders of the limb to hold your limb straight does nothing for the way the limb tracks while drawing it..... learned that one the hard way, and i still battle with it from time to time.

What is the width and thickness of where the groove will be? Jawge

The width is 14mm, the thickness about 7mm. The groove is about 20mm from the end.
