I just want to thank KerryB for leading me to this wonderful stave on the bottom of a pile across from his tent at OJAM.  3" Natural reflex on the tip of the limp with the huge hole and the opposing end had about 2" of deflex throughout the entire limb.  A big thanks to Ralph Renfro for helping lay it out.  As I get more pics from a buddy's camera I'll post up the bow cut out.

Had a great time at OJAM and with a son on the way in April I'm working on building up the brownie points to head up to MOJAM.

Looks like a good one to tackle! Love the holy bows!

I was build a yew bow with hole in the upper limb and a nasty knot in the bottom fade. Had her tillered out to 28.5" and was shooting her in today and she blew on me. Second one in week. Kinda got me down but I'll get back up LOL

Love the title. Must say I have known to gravitate to the gnarly twisted and distroted staves as well.  :knothead:    Nice stave and you are very right about Kerry B.  He is a great guy and he has blessed me with a few nice staves as well.

I went to OJAM looking for the nastiest ugliest piece of wood availible and I came out even more happy than I expected.  Having worked a few cleaner staves, Keenan like you I almost think the nastier more "unique" the better!

Here are the other pics and flipping the deflexed tip to match the natural flip on the other.

Way to go Goose, going to be a sweet looking bow, can't wait to see the finished shooter.

Very cool bow, Goose. There will be a guy at the Tenn Classic from NY that builds lots of bows with holes in them. "Hole in the Bow" Chuck is his name. Wait till you see his bows!
This is cool. I'mm watching with anticipation of hearing how she shoots.

I saw you working on that bow and thought you were crazy. I wish I knew it was you and I would of said hi. Good luck with it.

Looks like the predecessor to the Hoyt Gamemaster!  Cool lookin' bow.

Stuck it up on a tillering tree to give some visuals of the deflex of the holy limb (left side) and reflex that the straight limb had naturally (right side).  Bent the reflex in on the left limb.  Looking forward to the challenge for sure.
