first of all thanks to 4est trekker for his build along this bow is a result of that. it is red oak 72 inch from tip to tip about 2 1/4 wide and about 40 lbs at 30" this bow shoots well and smooth and i had a great time building it. when i took the pics i noticed that the upper limb is bending wierd close to the tips and i see now i could of tillered it a different way so its all good and i will know how to do the next one. i love this stuff. also i did the handle different from the build along. he had more of an arc in the handle but i had to take more out as you can see to be able to fit my big mits in there. thanks for all the info on here what a great site.

Good job, now your hooked!

The left limb in the bottom pic looks near perfect, the right one looks like you've got a hinge going on right there about the last 1/3 maybe 10" from the tip?

But if it shoots good then that's what matters the most and if you can see it and know that it's there, you can keep an eye on that next time.

PEARL DRUMS

Pics always seem to look different dont they? Thats my favorite tool next to my Gizmo. You learned something and that more important than anything else. If your first attempt spits arrows your doing better than alot on the first try. Get another going stat.....Dr's orders!

Take it and learn from it, build another, you can't have enough bows! My first one broke so I didn't get to learn much since it was some bad would, at least that's my excuse. Second one I learned alot about tiller and how to fix it. Now I need to learn to hit my poundage better. They are to fun to do if you like working with wood, nice to see the results. Good job Stretch!!
