Which Traditional bow do you like most, longbow, recurve, flatbow, horsebow etc...? I prefer the takedown recurve.

ALL of em....
I have longbows, selfbows, a recurve, boo backed and unbacked, and a carbon D/R...Working on gettin myself a Hill Style stick built after this swap.  But I just love to shoot them all.
I humbly follow in the learned footsteps of those who precede me.

Swissbow

I'm a longbow man, but I'm gettin' more and more into recurves as well lately.

My two go to bows have been a sinew backed osage static recurve and a glass recurve.  I also have a bendy handled osage ambush bow that I shoot really well but I've yet to kill any big game with it.
Take a kid hunting!

Just trying to find out which is more popular, longbow or recurve. Seems there are more longbow fans out there than I imagined.

I've shot all, still have several special RDs and recurves and even an ILF, but all I've shot for the last two years are longbows.  Note:  I don't consider RD's longbows, in spite of the rules.  They're shy recurves...  :^)

I started with recurves. Have been trying the r/d type longbows for the last few years and I really like them, much better than the older type longbows.  Sorry Dick.  That said I am finding a renewed interest in recurves again.  So many bows to build so little time.  Ain't it fun.

My top pic is also the takedown recurve. Something about their look and feel. However, I enjoy shootinng any of them.
Step lightly, and shoot a trad bow.

Hybrid longbows here too.  With that great job you did on your first TD recurve Savage....building a TD riser and d/r limb set for a longbow should be no problem for you.....and as you're local I'll definitely be interested in your progress as you work towards that "perfect" design.

I also like all trad bows but especially selfbows made by friends and myself.
