Simple/Cheap Tillering Tree

stinger, thats a great idea using the tree steps. i suppose two could be used and that would solve the problem of trying to keep your bow from rocking if the handle has already been shaped. i see that question come up from time to time. two things i have to take care of.1)add a grid 2) replace the block of wood that i use with two tree steps.

I am undecided on the two pulleys also. I always used one but added the second pulley last week, my god it was like pulling a tooth pick. Sure is easy on the body but you have no idea how much weight the bow has like I did with one pulley.

I have a single 3 inch pulley mounted at the bottom of the tree here, use 1/8th braided steel cable for the rope.
