Last year I got an Osage tree (blow down ) It was big - 2 feet+ across. The tree had 98 rings, old! Anyway I took it to a sawmill and had it ripped into 3 1/2" slabs ( they are drying ). I have some outside ( bark )slabs from the tree, 4or5 of them,I will give them to anyone who wants them. They are 10" to 18" wide-approx. across and ? 4" deep maybe. Still have the bark on and run about 4 feet to 6-7feet long. They will give a few bows. PM me if interested, can have all or 1 and you haul-they are HEAVY!

Hmm, trying to think of the next time heading out that way.  Would love to have a slab. Is it pretty straight grained stuff?

wildcat hunter

Its not bad stuff, grain is fairly straight-its from a BIG tree, very heavy though. Some asked me if I could mail it - the cost would be out of this world. Come and get it.

I thank those that responded, the wood is taken.

Well it looks like I am off to PA to meet Mr Weaver and get some golden wood.  It will be nice to meet you Thomas and the trip will do me good to get out for a while.  See you Saturday.

We had a bulldozer come in and push the snow away from the wood, now we can get at it easier! LOL, just kidding, its not that bad!
