And on a really, REALLY DEPRESSING note:  Crushed bow

Sad for me and feeling really bad for all the work that WestTexan had put into it. And really angry at how FedEx dealt with it. Just cowardly! They dropped off, on my porch, a clearly damaged package without bothering to knock at the door and advice how to follow through with claims. And that's after they mailed the package all over Creation because of some clerk's fat fingers. Don't get me wrong, I know accidents happen. And when something goes wrong I remember people not by their mistakes but by the way they do their best to fix it. And FedEx continues to be a pain in the rear. I called them to file a claim and instead of apologizing they said there is nothing I can do, the shipper has to file any claims. So hate it, after all the work WestTexan has put into the bow to now have to go through telephones and paperwork. Aaaarghhhh! Just fuming here.
Sorry to dampen the mood. That's why I started a new thread. If anyone has any helpful advice on how to deal with FedEx please post. Post it on the PowWow thread maybe.

Aram, is the bow a glass lam bow or a selfbow? I've heard it is almost imposible to recover any money for a selfbow unless the builder can proove how much it is worth.
I always ship USPS, Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. Never insured. The delivery confirmation means they can track a lost package and with Priority Mail has very few handlers in route so less of a chance for damage. USPS has never lost or damaged a package I sent that way.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

Hmmm...had a little pink slip saying I missed the mail man after returning from errands today.  The description says "long, skinny, and triangular."  Could it be...?  :)

Bona,

Remember that post?  I found it funny you were the first to respond to my four stars.

Glad you like it.  Hope it works well for you.  I enjoyed making it.  (And learned a few things!)
