I've done the board bow thing a couple of times so I wanted to spice this one up a little.

The centershot shelf should widen the range of arrows I can shoot, a good thing since I'm about to begin making some arrows from dowels and lumber.

This bow's 71" ntn, 1 1/2" down to 3/4", with a 12" riser of palm and basswood.  I'm going for 40# at 26".

Thats an interesting piece of dark wood in your handle. Good luck,

I really like the palm riser.  Where did you get it?

Dublin Joe

The palm wood came from my time repairing Indonesian imported furniture.  It had been a bench but it arrived broken so I got the pieces.  It's very hard.

Do you happen to know what species of palm it is from?

I haven't tillered this one yet.  I'm hoping to get a Shinto rasp and wanted to use it on this bow.  I'll post pics, I promise.
