Still waiting on 5 bows to be confirmed that they have been recieved.

I'm not gonna lie I'm kinda running out of patience on this. One guy has contacted his recipient and is keeping communication open the other four I have not heard a word from.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE SO GET YOUR BOW SHIPPED!

Any questions just drop me a pm I am a very understanding feller and just need to know what is going on if you are having problems. All I am asking for is some communication.

I like Kodiaks idea. Maybe a suggestion to the guys who couldn't get one done, that passing along their bow would be a nice idea.

How many people participated in this swap? I think it's a great idea, but given problems i've been having I wouldn't feel comfortable sending a bow to someone else. Holding on to one I've built for a friend because it seems to be developing crysals.

Steve,

The swap will be an annual deal and start every Jan.

Razorback, The guy that was building mine ran into a few problems and sent me the bow he got. He builds a fine bow but told me he did not want me to wait any longer. So I agree with you at this point.

You know what, Stiks? I'm finding that waiting for this next bow swap, I'm getting almost as anxious as waiting for the upcoming deer season! Keeping up with all the bows and who got what was fun.

Come on Pokeanhope!! I'm a very patient person but this is getting a little old. Your lack of communication makes things very hard on Stiks, as well as myself. Stiks, I appreciate you staying on top of this. Hopefully we'll get something out of him before 2012!

After reading my last post it could be taken the wrong way. I would like to clear up that my intent of "calling out" this gentleman is NOT to criticize, but to motivate.

Hey, Stiks...just wondering if my recipient ever built and sent his bow out?  If not, perhaps there's a fella that would like his nice osage recurve?  If he has, why then I hope he's enjoying shooting his nice osage recurve!    :bigsmyl:

I am gonna make a statement here and I hope it hit's home to the few who have not come through as of today.

Not only are you making yourselves look real bad, you are putting a stain on the whole bow swap for newcomers. I am the guy who organized it and I will tell you it was and is alot of work (which I really enjoyed). But you are making alot more than it should have to be.

I have taken the fact of the lack of communication and not coming through on your end of the bargain very personal. The fellers that are still waiting are great guys and a wonderful asset to the bow building community here on the bench and deserve the best that you can do.

I will forced to limit new comers on account that a few have not kept their end of the deal and any one that was not in last year will either have to be priorly approved by myself or invited by past participants that did come through. This is really pretty sad because we have new guys and gals join everyday that I am sure are good honest folk who would like to participate in the future and you just put a the question in my head of every new entry to wether or not they can be trusted.

The few guys that did not recieve a bow as of yet will get one even if I have to build each of them a bow this summer and stay out next year.

I will sending out a few emails and it will be your last and final notice to come through after that I will out you right here on the board and you will be banned from any future trade not to mention labeled as not trustworthy.

I have kept my patience till now but it is time to say enough is enough and you few can get a bow shipped even if it is the one you recieved and stay out of the trade from now on. It has become extremely ridiculous and hte time has come to settle up one way or another.

I highly reccomend that if you have not sent your bow out that contact me immediatly through PM or Email

(NOTE) there where at least two guys I know of off the top of my head that where not able to complete a bow due to unforseen circumstances and they stayed in contact with me and forwarded the bow they recieved on their own will before I even suggested it and this post is not directed toward them and they are welcome in the next swap.

well said , and on that note if you can post the aforementioned bows , if its in my capability , i would offer to make one , perhaps to set my entry in the next swap...

if its beyond my capability or no one wants me to try it , i wouldnt be insulted , as i am still very new , but im sure there are others that would be willing to take care of someone.
